Week of April 10

Hope you enjoyed the beautiful sunshine we had this weekend!
Such a nice change from Thursday night and Friday.

We have a lot of interesting things on the go in our class these days.  Students have been working on their music lyric essays, discussing underlying themes and meaning, as well as historical, social, political, and personal contexts.  The thinking the students have done is amazing! Their rant assignments are shaping up to be fabulous as well.
Ask your child to rant to you-they will be videotaping themselves ranting at the school using our technology so it would be good practice for them to do it for you.

We are currently working on a patterning and algebra unit where we are looking at developing input and output tables and using algebraic expressions to represent a pattern. Ask them about it-sharing information with others and discussing a topic is a great way to solidify their understanding.

Tuesday-Good luck to the boys basketball team at their tournament in Owen Sound
Wednesday-International Pink Day (wear pink to support anti-bullying)
Thursday-Good luck to the girls basketball team at their tournament in Owen Sound
          -Jersey day
Friday is Good Friday and Monday is Easter Monday-there will be no school.  Hope you have a great long weekend.
Don't forget to bring gym clothes and an indoor pair of running shoes.
Writing prompt: What would you do if you could travel free anyplace in the world?

Have a great week!

Week of April 3

Hi Everyone,
Hope you enjoyed your beautiful sunny weekend.

Today is blue day at school for autism awareness.  I showed the students a short animated clip today about what autism is and how people with autism learn and experience the world.  Please take a moment to ask them about this topic and what they learned today.

Students have been working on a song lyrics essay over the last week and a half.  These are due Friday.  They had a double lab period today for typing their final copies and they have another double period on Wednesday to do the same.  If your child is not finished typing on Wednesday it will be up to them to find the time to finish by Friday. The outline for the essay is in the assignment section of the website.  Students received this outline at the beginning of the assignment as well as a package that included linking words, words to describe music, citing text evidence sentence starters, and how to write an effective conclusion (with examples).  This is a major writing assignment and the students have really taken to this task and are digging deep into underlying messages and themes in their song lyrics.  They have done a fabulous job!!

Congratulations to the boys and girls basketball teams.   Both teams had great success last week and will be heading to the Bluewater final tournament next week in Owen Sound.
With spring upon us mud has arrived on the yard.  Please ensure your child has indoor AND outdoor shoes.  Running shoes are a must have for gym.  Muddy shoes will not be tolerated in the classroom and especially not in the gym.  Please let me know if this is an issue and I can help provide shoes.  With the warmer months upon us, students should be changing for gym as well.  If they don't already have gym clothes please ensure they start bringing them daily.  Again, if this is an issue let me know we can find clothes.
PROBLEM OF THE WEEK  ALONG WITH LAST WEEK'S PROBLEM ANSWERS are in the problem of the week section on the site.

WRITING PROMPT-"FAIR DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN EQUAL"-WHAT DOES THIS QUOTE MEAN TO YOU? Use examples from real life experiences to help you explain what it means.

Have a fabulous week!!

Problem Solving

Here are two charts we refer to in our class when we are problem solving.  It helps us narrow down our focus and make sure we are only answering the question being asked.  Many problems we work on have information that is actually not needed.

Week of March 27

Sorry for the delay with this week's email.

In the homework section I have posted tonight's math problem for homework. We will discuss it tomorrow and talk about different ways to organize our thinking and link it to patterning and algebra.

This week's problem of the week is in the appropriate section as well as last week's answers.
Writing Prompt: What would you do if you knew the world was ending in just one month?  How would you spend your time?
Write good detailed paragraphs with lots of description and information to back up your thinking.

Congratulations to the GBCS Thunder Girls Basketball team for winning Monday's championship game!
The boys basketball tournament is this Friday at GBCS.  GO THUNDER!!

Hope everyone has a great week,

Week of Feb 27

Hi Everyone,

Happy Monday!
We are off and running with another week.  Students are working diligently to complete their research and backboards for history fair.  Students are reminded that an interview would add some great insight into their projects.  It doesn't have to be the person specifically, but it can be someone (eg. a family member) who is knowledgeable about the topic.
As a reminder, the museums and libraries are ready and willing to help with these projects.   Please contact them with anything you need.

Presentations begin the week after March Break.  I emailed out the specific dates last week.
If students are interested in doing a science fair project it is optional this year.  Please have them discuss with me what they plan on doing as I have to submit their names and topics next week.

Tuesday is day 2 of electives.  Next week we have electives Tuesday and Wednesday to make up for the snow day at the beginning. Please come prepared to be outside.
Please send back your child's report card form ASAP.  If you want to set up a time to chat please feel free to contact me and I will find a time that works for all of us.
Friday, we have a history expert from our very own Meaford Public Library, coming to kick off our history unit for term 2.  She has some fun things planned for us to help spark our interest in Canadian History.
Problem of the week is attached in the problem of the week section to the left of the webpage.
Writing Prompt:  Tell me about something that makes you feel really nervous.
Remember to write multiple paragraphs and practice good writing traits (word choice, punctuation, sentence fluency, etc.)

As always, contact me with any questions or concerns.

Have a great week

Week of Feb 21

Hi Everyone,

I am so sorry it has taken me until today to get this email out.  I have been battling the flu, not only for myself, but my kids as well.
Because of the hectic days I have had I have only now sent out the problem of the week and writing so I will mark it if it comes back complete, but students can have until Monday to hand it in.

Writing Prompt:
Who is the person you trust the most? Explain and give examples of things they have done or said to make them a trustworthy person. Write in paragraphs and push yourself to write well-developed, detailed paragraphs. Don't forget about an introductory paragraph and a concluding paragraph.

History Fair:
History Fair is coming quickly.  Students are presenting their projects the week after March Break. Students should be bringing in a back board to work on ASAP.  The majority of time at school has been spent on research and should now be spent on putting the project together. There is still lab time booked and students have ample opportunity to complete the project here.  The board and any fancy paper or decorative elements should be purchased individually.  I have access to construction paper and some art supplies.  If students have a plan and let me know what they need I will do my best to find it in our art supplies here at school.  There is NO access to a colour printer here at school, so if this is an issue for students please have a plan and let me know.  I have a colour printer at home if your family doesn't.

Google search-Grey Roots Heritage Fair to look at some great examples.

I hope everyone enjoyed their "fog day" and travelled safely.  Hopefully that is the last day that buses are cancelled.

I will not be at school tomorrow.  I am attending a reading/writing conference in Toronto.
Report cards will be coming home tomorrow while I am away. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me and we can set up a time to chat.

Have a great weekend!

Monday, 13 February 2017

Week of February 13

Happy Monday everyone!
Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Tuesday is our first electives day. Please come prepared to leave right at 9am after attendance. Mr. Harding will meet students outside by the garden/greenhouse with their skis and snowboards before they go to the yard. No equipment is to enter the school. Students should be dropped of at the side parking lot not the front.

If students are not attending electives they are to stay home as all teachers will be at Blue Mountain.

Wednesday there will be a short quiz in describing transformations (rotations, reflections, and reflections). Students have been doing well on this so it is just to check to make sure they have a full understanding.

Students will have another lab period next Thursday for their history projects and it would be helpful if they had supplies to start working on their backboards. If it is a problem to get a board please let me know.

We started a new initiative today-we are working with Mrs. Anderson's grade 4 class on math communication and problem solving skills. It is a great opportunity to be role models and share our knowledge and engage in conversations about math. We may even learn a few things from our younger partners!!!

Writing for this week: why is honesty a good character trait to possess?
Try to expand on your writing this week and make it a 5 paragraph essay-an introductory paragraph, 3 body paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph. Lots ideas and details!

Hope you have a great week!

Danielle

Monday, 6 February 2017

Wednesday Quiz

Wednesday there will be a 5 point quiz on how to plot points on the Cartesian plane using all 4 quadrants.

Week of Feb 6

We have another busy week on our hands.
Students are independently working away on their history fair projects and making head way.  We have now had 4 good research periods in the lab.  It would be great if you could help your child arrange an interview with an expert on the topic (e.g. a family member who knows about the topic, a person who works in the industry, etc.).  I can help make arrangements if you need me to.  Phone interviews and emails are welcome if a face-to-face meeting is not possible.  The museums are ready and willing to be helpful as with information as well.
YOUR CHILD WILL BE GIVEN A SPECIFIC DATE FOR THE WEEK FOLLOWING MARCH BREAK TO PRESENT TO THE CLASS.  Backboards need to be purchased shortly as I will give students time in the lab to print their research and create their boards.  Keep in mind the printers here at school or print black and white.  I attached all of this information in an email last week and it is available on the class website.
Tuesday is the first day of electives.  Students are expected to be in class for attendance at 8:55 prompt with all of their belongings ready to go.  If your child is skiing or boarding please meet Mr. Harding in the morning with your equipment back by the green house to load it up. EQUIPMENT SHOULD NOT BE ENTERING THE SCHOOL AND IT CANNOT BE DROPPED OFF AT THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL AS BUSSES WILL BE DROPPING STUDENTS OFF.
Today is officially the beginning of term 2.  I will be having students empty their binders and bring work home (hopefully today). Please take a moment to check out what your child has accomplished in term 1.  Keep in mind it will be individual work coming home and we do a lot of group work on chart paper and using tech if we can.  Throughout term 1 they have been handed back marked work as well.  Some may not have brought it home yet so that should be coming home as well.

If students have not received a mark that I think reflects their best work, they have been told they can redo the assignment and hand it back to me.  Many students have not done this and their mark stands.  It was the responsibility of the child to hand it back to me if they wanted to better their mark.  It is also important to note, some students have a tendency to leave work incomplete and/or not hand it in.  This greatly affects marks and will be noted on the report card as well. Again, if this is a big issue with your specific child (especially with big assignments) I have been in contact.

If you have any questions about marks please feel free to contact me.
Nothing pertaining to marks should be a surprise; I try to stay in contact if need be. If somehow this is not the case, please let me know and we will chat.

Just as a side note-you will notice a bit of a change on the report cards coming home on February 24-students will be assigned percentages instead of letters.
WRITING PROMPT: WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH $1 MILLION DOLLARS?

Tuesday, 31 January 2017

Here is the information for the History Fair project.  Topics should be chosen by now and research should be off to a good start.  If you search Grey Roots Heritage Fair and look at google images, you will see some fantastic examples of what is to be handed in.

Week of Jan 30

Hi everyone,

Lots of fun things happening this week.

Monday-Boys Basketball tryouts started today at 7:30 am. Thanks to those who decided to tryout with me. Next practice will be Wednesday morning at 7:30 am. Team will be posted early next week.

We are very lucky to welcome a guest from the University of Waterloo today speaking about math and walking us through some problem solving work and math communication skill building. The program is called "Math Circles." University of Waterloo has one of the leading math programs-we were so lucky to have this program made available to us today.

Tuesday-History Fair/Heritage Fair topics should be chosen by now. We will be back in the lab researching about our topics. An outline will be posted on the website and emailed to you and your child this week. I am just confirming lab times. It would be a fantastic addition to your child's project if they could arrange time to visit the local Meaford museum or the Grey Roots Museum in Owen Sound. An interview with someone knowledgeable about the topic would also be an asset. If you want help with any of these things please let me know.

Wednesday-we will have another guest speaker coming to us from Owen Sound. Curtis Sanford is a former NHL goalie who will be coming to speak to us about mindset, work ethic, goals, and career paths. Again, another fantastic person to hear from.

Thursday-we have our monthly arts assembly on Thursday starting at 9 am. This month's student of the month awards are for music.

FRIDAY IS A PD DAY!

As an aside, students have been given information about their GBCS student letter. There are many great opportunities within our school that help students gain valuable skills and offer them a chance to be a part of a team and our GBCS community. If students want to be involved they can find a way. Please chat with them about the importance of being involved and having a positive attitude towards school.

I have posted the problem of the week on the class website and attached it to this message. I have also included the writing prompt on the website and in this email.

WRITING TOPIC OF THE WEEK: WOULD YOU RATHER BE A TEACHER OR A STUDENT? EXPLAIN YOUR CHOICE WITH MANY DETAILS. (this does not necessarily mean a teacher or student in a classroom setting-there are many different ways to be teachers and students).

Hope everyone has a great week!

Week of Jan 23

Hi Everyone,

Monday-problem of the week, the answer to last week's problem, and the writing prompt for the week have been posted on the class website
carson67.blogspot.ca

Students are currently working on their vision boards in art class.  If they have pictures and quotes, etc. they need please bring them in ASAP.

Heritage Fair (History Fair) is coming up in the spring. We are working on this project step by step; this week students must have their topic chosen.  They have to let me know by Friday.

We have been working on surface area and volume math concepts since before Christmas holidays.  We are reviewing many of these concepts this week and therefore there will be a 5 point quiz each day (avoiding having one big test at the end of the unit).

Tuesday-5 point quiz on surface area of a rectangular prism
Wednesday-5 point quiz on surface area of a triangular prism
Canadian Mental Health Presentation for Bell Lets Talk Day
Thursday-5 point quiz on surface area of a trapezoidal prism
Friday-5 point quiz on surface area of various right prisms (e.g. octagonal, hexagonal, pentagonal, etc.)

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.

Have a great week,

Danielle

Writing Prompt-Week of Jan 23

Here is this week's writing topic:

If you had to choose one piece of technology to give up, what would it be and why?

Monday, 16 January 2017

Homework-Week of Jan 16

After much consideration, I have decided to electronically send out the homework each week.  I have been photocopying a package for each student every week, but I have only 8 students who consistently complete their homework.  I find that it is a lot of wasted paper.

If you would prefer a hard copy please let me know and I can always print one for you if you can't print it at home.  If you don't print it that's ok too.  You can just complete on your own paper and hand that in to me on Fridays.
The problem of the week is on the left hand side of the website and the writing prompt for the week is at the bottom of this message.  We have been working for the better part of term 1 on writing good solid paragraphs and we are now getting into writing multiple paragraphs and using linking words to tie paragraphs together.  If you could please work on multiple paragraphs with the writing prompt that would be most helpful. Please check out the writing rating scale on the webpage as wel, which outlines the expectations in grade 7 writing.

Hope everyone had a great holiday and here's hoping the snow days are all behind us.

WRITING PROMPT FOR THE WEEK:  What would the world be like if children were in charge?

Next Week's Work

Thank you so much for responding so quickly with permission for Meaford Hall.  Everyone was able to go because of the quick communication.  Isn't technology great!!

As I stated in Monday's email.  Students have been engaged in conversations and research about their future careers and goals.  We will be starting our vision boards sometime next week.  It would be very helpful if students brought in any craft supplies for themselves to use but even better if they could share.  Old magazines, fabrics pieces, photos, coloured text of quotes and important, etc.

Elective forms and money are due Friday January 27, 2017.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact me asap.  Every student is expected to participate and if they are not they must stay home on elective days. All teachers will be at Blue Mountain.

Pita Pit orders for January will be accepted up until Monday January 16, 2017.  This week's missed order will carry over into the first week of February.
BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS! My classroom library is full of books but more suited for a junior level class.  If your child has any old books they are no longer using they would be well used and loved in our class.  I am looking specifically for high junior, intermediate level reading material.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Talk next week

Monday, 9 January 2017

Week of Jan 9

Welcome to 2017 in Grade 7!
Students were ready and raring to go this morning.  Lots of chatter, but a lot of good things already starting in 2017.
There will be no problem of the week or paragraph of the week this week, however, if students could please start to collect any old magazines, craft supplies, etc.  We are going to be working on a personal art project- "I am Board" or "Vision Board."  Students started to reflect on what they want to be and about the path they hope to take in life.  We are going to reflect on this some more this week and start to create an art project in line with this theme.
If students are speaking about careers and post-secondary schools, etc. this is why.  We started to look at high-school credits needed for certain post-secondary education programs and what programs are offered at which schools.  Students were genuinely intrigued and excited.

I would also like to revamp the classroom library.  I am coming from more of a junior background, so some of my books are not suited for an intermediate classroom.  We are using the school library quite a bit, but if you have any old books at home that you would like to pass on that are suited for grade 7 students, please feel free to send them our way.  They would be well loved and taken care of!

Elective forms are due ASAP.  If you can not send money yet, please do send back the completed forms.  We need all of that information to send to Blue Mountain.

Tomorrow is the last day for Pita Pit orders for the month of January.
Hope everyone has a great week!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me through email or the remind app.

Week of Dec. 12

I hope everyone is ready for the upcoming holiday season.  I can't believe we are only two weeks away.

Our dance production is well under way.  Students need to make sure that they bring in their costumes and props as soon as possible.
The dates for the dance extravaganza are: Tuesday Dec 20-11:45am and 7pm, Wednesday Dec 21-11:45am, and Friday Dec 23-9am (at the arts assembly).  The big production will be on the stage in the cafeteria.

The science projects that were handed in today look great.  Thank you to all of the students (and parents) for all your hard work.  It really paid off. I will mark them ASAP.
For those that have not handed their projects in, please do so by the end of the week.  This is a large portion of your science mark.
Elective forms went home today.  Please keep the whole package together, fill out and return before the Christmas holidays. The money does not need to come in yet, but we do need to know which activity your child is choosing.

Paragraph of the week and problem of the week were handed out today. They are due Friday.
Next week we will take a break from these until after the break.

Thank you so much for all of the donations to our Five Days of Giving canned food drive.  We were so close to coming in first place, but fortunately we did win the wild card draw.  Donuts will be coming our way!  Everyone really helped make a difference in the lives of those who need a little extra help.
Hope everyone has a great week!
Danielle

Monday, 5 December 2016

Week of Dec 5

This week is our 5 days of caring food drive.  There is a contest happening-the class with the most points wins a Tim Horton's donut breakfast! There is a special item each day which earns more points.

Monday-items for children's lunches
Tuesday-baby food (5 jars or 1 box of baby cereal)
Wednesday-Canned fruit or fruit juices
Thursday-Children's cereal
Friday-Any canned mean or stew (eg. flakes of ham, beef stew, etc.)

Peanut butter-any day of the week earns the class 50 points.
Please send in anything that you can.  A little bit goes a long way!

Science Projects-students have been working on science projects about ecosystems.  There is an outline on the left hand side of the webpage.  We have a full 50 minute period each day this week (and last week we worked for 3 periods as well).  Students should be well on their way to starting their 2D or 3D model of the ecosystem and beginning to write up their explanation piece.
These projects are due Monday, Dec. 12, 2016.  Students can work at home, but please refrain from offering to much assistance as it makes it difficult to fairly assess.  Giving pointers and feedback and encouraging more details, etc. are great ways to help.

Dance Extravaganza practice has started.  We are in full swing creating a mash up of dances related to changing seasons.  The whole production is based on the theme of Changes. Students may be borrowing things to prepare their costumes, but they are not expected to have to buy anything.  We have a chart started of things needed that other students may have to let them borrow.

Friday is a trip to Meaford Hall.  We will be going to see "The Grinch." Permission forms went home last week and should be returned ASAP.  NO SLIP NO TRIP!

Problem of the week and Paragraph of the week will be posted on the webpage and were handed out today.

Hope everyone has a great week!
As always, if there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to be in contact.

Week of Nov. 21

This week is eventful as always.

Monday-problem of the week and paragraph of the week are being handed out today.  They are both due on Friday.
Some of you may find that the paragraph of the week is quite simple for grade 7, however there are many ways that it can be made challenging.  As a group, we are working on developing our ideas and writing more detailed paragraphs. We have looked at topic sentences and how to hook our readers, concluding sentences and how to bring a paragraph to a close, and of course how to use facts, ideas, and evidence to explain our thinking.  All of these things can be used to fully develop a paragraph.  If your child is ready for more, they can use the topic from the paragraph of the week, but move on to writing multiple paragraphs.  We have discussed this in class a numbers of times as well.

Tuesday-Constable Barfoot, our community officer from the OPP, will be coming to discuss the legal ramifications of bullying on Tuesday morning.  The students have been engaged in many activities related to bullying, because last week was bullying awareness week.

Wednesday-immunizations were to happen last week, for whatever reason they did not, so I have heard they are happening this Wednesday, but I am not completely sure. (Sorry-usually I am in the know)
Poinsettia order forms went home last week.  Those are due this Wednesday as well.
Friday-paragraph of the week and problem of the week are due.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
-gym clothes are required and students should be changing
-Groove forms are due by Monday morning-we have the Groove dance group coming on Monday which we participate in from 12-1
-Dec. 1 is a GBCS full school open house-more information to follow, but many exciting things will be happening that night
-the dance extravaganza is in the works-dates will be posted soon

Thanks again to everyone who was able to make it out for parent-teacher-student interviews.  If you still want to meet or chat whether face-to-face or on the phone let me know and we can set a convenient time.

Monday, 14 November 2016

Week of Nov. 14

Climate graph activity due Tuesday morning
A Long Walk to Water Novel activity due Wednesday
Problem of the Week due Thursday.

The book fair is at school all week.  We will be visiting Tuesday morning.
It is open Monday-Wednesday 3:30-5:30pm
Tuesday-Thursday 8-9am
Thursday 3:30-7:30pm during parent-teacher-student interviews

Report cards went home last Friday (Monday for those that were away Friday). Please fill out and return the enclosed form.
Please book an interview time ASAP.  I would love to meet with everyone.  If Thursday night and Friday morning don't work for you, contact me and we will find a time that works.

Friday is a PD day!

Have a great week!

This week in Grade 7

Just an update for this week (sorry for the delay).  As you can imagine Monday and Tuesday were a little bit wacky around GBCS.

Important Dates:
Thursday-students were to present their art projects Monday, but it just not fit in the schedule; presentations will be tomorrow (Thursday).  There is a link to the project on the class website and within that link there is a webpage I have listed all about colour.  I showed the kids all of this today before they left.

Friday-Picture orders went home for those pictures that arrived at our school (we are in contact with the photo company to find the missing pictures). Orders are due Friday.

Problem of the Week is due Friday.

Library Forms went home for card renewals and set up of library accounts at the Meaford Public Library.  This is will be really important as we work with the library for different programs and resources. I would like all forms back by Friday if possible so that I can start planning trips to the library for our class.

Students will be given more information tomorrow regarding the Legion Remembrance Day writing and poster contest.  It is a mandatory writing and art assignment, but students will be given the choice to enter the contest or not.  Homework tonight was to think about what Remembrance Day means to them and some ideas for writing and art projects.

If you have any questions or concerns let me know.

Happy Wednesday!

Halloween

Hi Everyone,

There are a few things to know for Monday.
Monday is Halloween and we all know it is quite an exciting time for students.  It is orange and black day. We are having an arts assembly celebrating students' cooperation skills and French skills.  There will also be a grade 6/7/8 dance, where students are allowed to wear their costumes.  Please adhere to the school dress code for costumes please!

Problem of the Week

Problem of the week has been handed out.  It is due on Thursday!

Art Project

Students have made a plan to create a piece of art related to the theory of colour.  We have discussed primary, secondary, and tertiary colours, shading, tinting, etc.  We are going to work on art tomorrow-Tuesday Oct. 25 (all middle block-just over an hour).  ALL MATERIALS NEED TO BE AT SCHOOL.  Most materials are available at the school, but students know that if they chose do to a project that materials were not available they would have to make sure they could provide them. The assignment is attached in the assignments section of the blog.

Newspaper Article

Hi Everyone,

Thank you to those students that worked through the technical glitches we have had and used their own time to finish their news articles that were to be handed in today.  Due to the glitches I have extended the deadline to Friday.  That being said, I could only book the lab for one period Friday, so students who need time will need to use some of their own time as well.

Students should have saved their work to their onedrive account which can be accessed by googling office 365 login and typing in their login and password as they would at school.
They will then go into the top left corner and click and choose one drive to find their document.

Let me know if you have any issues and I can help out.

Week of Oct. 17

Hello Everyone!

Tuesday is the due date for our Land Reclamation News article piece of writing.  We have one more lab period on Tuesday before you have to share it with me through office 365.

Wednesday is immunizations.  Not sure what time, but students are required to have the immunizations at school, unless a note is sent in from a physician to say they will have it done at their doctors office.  If they do not have them done public health will be in contact.

REMINDERS:
  • gym clothes and proper gym shoes are a necessity-students are being marked on ability, effort, participation, and preparedness
  • problem of the week is sent home once a week-it will be sent home tomorrow and due Friday
  • students are independently reading DAILY-please ensure that you have some sort of reading material to use EVERYDAY! (there is a classroom library and the school library will hopefully be up and running soon).
We are having a major problem in our class with SELF CONTROL-please discuss with students what it means to be accountable, reliable, responsible, etc.  I discuss this daily as a class, but it would be helpful if students were getting the same message at home.

Please check the website, remind App, and your email as often as possible.  I send the same message to all three places, so if you could at least check one that would help in the communication department.

Any questions or concerns please email or text (through remind).  I am on my tech as much as possible and I am pretty quick to respond (I think anyways).

Have a great week!
